Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Trent Harrison, PT, DPT ("TrentDPT," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use this website (the "Site") and the patient portal.
- We collect only what we need to provide care and respond to you.
- We never sell your information or share it for advertising.
- We do not submit your information to insurance companies.
- Health information in the portal is encrypted and visible only to your therapist.
- No online system is perfectly secure, but we use reasonable safeguards and will notify you of a breach as required by Florida law.
Information we collect
- When you contact us: your name, email, and the content of your message.
- When you schedule a visit: your name, email, phone number, and appointment details.
- In the patient portal (patients only): the performance measures, exercises, notes, and optional body metrics used to guide your care. You provide these, or your therapist records them during your care.
- Automatically: basic technical data your browser sends (such as IP address and browser type) and the essential cookies needed to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
How we use information
- To provide physical therapy care and manage your program.
- To respond to your messages and schedule visits.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site and portal.
- To meet our legal and professional obligations.
How we share information
We do not sell your information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us operate — for example, our website host, email delivery, and scheduling tools — under obligations to protect it.
- When required by law, or to protect the safety of a person.
- At your request — for example, a superbill you choose to submit to your own insurer, or records you ask us to send.
We do not share your information with insurance companies unless you ask us to.
How we protect information
Health and performance information in the portal is encrypted at rest, access is limited to your therapist, and access is logged. Your account is protected by a password, with optional two-factor authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; if a breach affects your information, we will notify you as required by the Florida Information Protection Act and applicable law.
Your choices and rights
- Access and correction — ask to see or correct your information.
- Deletion — ask us to delete your portal information. Some records may be retained where required by law or professional record-keeping rules.
- Communication — opt out of non-essential emails at any time.
To make a request, email trent.c.harrison@gmail.com.
Data retention
We keep information as long as needed to provide care, to meet legal and professional record-keeping requirements (including Florida law on patient records), and to resolve any disputes — after which we delete or de-identify it.
Children's privacy
The Site and portal are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party sites (for example, scheduling or research). Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy does not cover them.
